CELEBRATE SPRING!
So what's new...? The newest thing is we have new darling neighbors, and they have 2 adorable cats! I ran next door to deliver a bunch of tulips and daffodils, and we had a visit.
what else...? We're getting a new dog (we very sadly had to say goodbye to our beautiful sweet Meggie last October). Sunny is 3 years old, a female sable and white rough Collie. She will come to join our family in mid-May and we can hardly wait!!
The local plant nurseries have been my destination of choice these past few days, leaving with boxes full of lavender and stock and pincushions, delphiniums, lambs' ears, sunflowers, and sweet peas. Followed by planting and watering. I also planted tomatoes, a green zucchini, and snow peas.
In early April we spent a few great days with my sisters and niece Sammie in LaConner. We did lots of exploring by car, saw fields of daffodils, visited Washington Park in Anacortes, spent time on the beach at Deception Pass State Park, and went to Christianson's Nursery.
Mostly we have stayed close to home during the pandemic. Britt and I were fortunate enough to not get COVID. We get all vaccines and boosters as they became available, and we live in a place where the majority does the same. COVID feels like less of a threat now, I think...for now.
Take good care.⚘🎕
