Winter is over and Spring is here and everything is coming to life in the garden. I've temporarily wrested control from the weeds and things are looking pretty. I'm currently on a mission to find some of the purple and white Bearded Irises, maybe "Wabash" or "Stairway to Heaven". It may be my imagination, but I think the purple and white ones have the most intoxicating fragrance! There is a huge Iris garden in Snohomish (Walsterway), but on the day my friend Diana and I happened to be in that area on a trip to Flower World (another nursery), the Iris garden was closed for the day: I have since learned that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
